This is a dish called Odori-Don. It has a dead squid on top that “dances” when Soy Sauce is poured on it, activating it’s neurons.

“From a long view of the history of mankind — seen from, say, ten thousand years from now — there can be little doubt that the most significant event of the 19th century will be judged as Maxwell’s discovery of the laws of electrodynamics. The American Civil War will pale into provincial insignificance in comparison with this important scientific event of the same decade.” —Richard Feynman, physicist (via fewpeoplematter)

iPhone 4 survives fall from skydiver's pocket → cnn.com

The article doesn’t mention anything about the actual physics of the fall that would work in this phone’s favor. Because of its shape, it’s going to experience a lot of wind resistance. The drag on the phone as it falls will make it’s terminal velocity lower than what one would expect. There probably isn’t much difference in it falling from 13,500 feet than if it fell from 50. That and a good protective case does wonders.
